Welcome to Culinary Ventures!
This website is for the adventurous cooks out there... or the not so adventurous people who suddenly find themselves in the kitchen of all places and don't have a clue what to make for dinner!
Think of this place as a living, growing cookbook - that won't clutter up all your cupboard space. Recipes will be added spontaneously along with tips, techniques and a bit of that mystical kitchen science that baffles all of us so much at times.
Post recipes in your own online cookbook and share them with the rest of us if you like, or you can keep them filed away for personal use. This feature is especially designed for travelers. Being one myself, I know how frustrating it is to be in a strange kitchen thousands of miles away with absolutely no access to your favorite recipes. If you've got a phone line and computer, you now have your recipe data base too!
So many people tell me that the hardest thing about cooking is deciding what to make. I hope you'll find the Menu section helpful. These are family favorites or just plan tried and true recipes and combinations - you can only have so many favorites, right?
My Blog is just a peek inside the Naylor kitchen. I'm always trying something new, exotic or downright strange. I'll keep you updated on my experimentation, the "how's and how nots" and post any recipes that are "hot off the press"...or grill, you might say.
